Commit this upcoming year to a serious undertaking. Read the Bible.

We must understand that the basis for everything in life, all of what we stand for and believe, comes to us through our understanding of this one book.

A committed study of the Word of God is a vital and necessary component of every Christian's life. Without it, we are spiritually immature, lacking in discernment, and ignorant to God's truth.

Take this challenge seriously and get serious about study. Even if you believe or have been told in the past that you're not up to the task of real scholarship. Even if you find reading difficult because of time constraints or otherwise, don't be discouraged.

Make 2009 the year you read the Bible.

Get serious and commit. God will bless the effort and you will grow in your faith as a result.
