A Prayer for Phil

Yesterday Phil Johnson's mother Donna went to be with the Lord after a short bout with cancer.
Phil is a wonderful teacher, scholar, and faithful man of God. Having met him while attending Shepherd's Conferences in the past, I can testify to his kindness and grace and his willingness to take moments with men he's never met to answer questions only seminary students should be asking. Please pray for he and his family as they celebrate his mother's life, mourn her absence but rejoice in her victory over her illness into new life with Christ.

Phil Johnson is Executive Director of Grace to You. He teaches regularly as a lay pastor at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. He has been closely associated with John MacArthur since 1981 and edits most of Dr. MacArthur's major books. Phil is a trustee of the UK-based Martyn Lloyd-Jones Recordings Trust, a member of FIRE, husband to Darlene, and father of three sons (all now adults with their own households, and all still active members of Grace Community Church).
