Accidentally Profound

I recently was shocked by a commercial that came on during the evening edition of FOX NEWS, the only television I can bare to watch (which itself is difficult to endure on slow news days.) The commercial was from a company called INTERSTATE BATTERIES, and it presents, without mention of any of its products until the end, an animated depiction of what the commercial calls "God's Love." The music featured in the below video was not present for some reason in the version that was on FOX (an omission unexplained on the INTERSTATE website.) This however allowed me to get an unscripted view of the commercial until right up to the last caption with the statement about the message.

I was profoundly struck at how this video seems to present the message of salvation. It's characters change in a way more befitting a powerful change spiritually, and not so much simply God's love effecting their attitudes. Regardless of the intent in the commercial, it shows how God is the one involved in redeeming lost souls, awakening the heart as we continue in our lost position and relating the the world as unbelievers do. Notice not all those in this commercial are struck with the "love."

This ad is brought to you here because it is rare that a company present it's owner's/leader's Christian views to the general public in such a bold way, and The Hard Truth wants to salute INTERSTATE BATTERIES for doing so.

Intentionally encouraging. Accidentally profound?
