The men who gave their lives fighting to repel German forces from the beach at Normandy did so out of duty and love of this country, and out of the hatred of what the Nazi forces and Hitler's Germany stood for. Let us remember the sacrifice that the our country made and not forget our history. When we allow government to control every element of our lives, we give license to men such as Hitler and Stalin to make decisions that ultimately lead to fascism. As you listen, please note that President Roosevelt makes mention of almightly God, and in national submission to His will, prays for victory. How far we have drifted from our heritage of placing God first in our nation.
