It's a great joy to report that our son Jace's surgery has been successful and his hips are no longer dislocated. He is in a cast (called a Spica cast) which covers much of his lower and upper body, but was spared a technique used to reduce pressure in his hips which involves cutting the femur bones in both legs. We are happy about this as it reduces the need later for another surgery and makes his (hopefully) recovery easier. He is resting and so far doing well but needs continued prayer for a safe and easy recovery. Many things can still go wrong, but he is on the road to being able to walk one day. Mom and Dad are happy to get used to a boy trapped in a cast for the next 4 months when that is the goal.
We are grateful to everyone who continues to pray for Jace and for the great doctors and nurses at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. We also wish to thank Dr. Daniel Sacato who performed the surgery and who has been a wonderful blessing to us. And of course, we continue to praise God for His work and everything He continues to reveal in the love He has for us and Jace.
What a great God we have!
