Treasuring Our Trials

Thanks to everyone who has prayed for my son Jace over these last several weeks and for enduring a more personal viewpoint on The Hard Truth. This blog was created as a reaction to what is without question the feminizing and dumbing down of men, and more specifically how most modern evangelicalism is doing the very same to the Christian men in our country and society. The blog was also created to present the real and substantive truth about God's revelation of Himself to us, and why the only way to the real salvation of your heart, mind, and soul, is belief in and submission to the lordship of Jesus Christ in your life.

Because I've personally been going through a very difficult time in my life, I can testify that by God's grace in producing for me a faith in Him by salvation, a belief in His Word as entirely sufficient for all of my needs, a belief in His son Jesus Christ as Savior, Redeemer, and Lord over my life, I have been lifted up and carried through this trial. It's for that reason that I again return to the focus of this blog to the gospel, the Bible, and how and why God must be our primary focus, and our greatest joy. We've taken on some politics, some other things, and of course my son's medical problems (which I will continue to update,) but this blog is ultimately about how we men as Christians, and maybe those who simply desire to know about the Bible and are struggling to find a deeper meaning and freedom from the weight of sin in their lives, can better ourselves through a real understanding of fundamental, true, classical Christian doctrine.
The deep truths about faith in God and Jesus Christ.

No better way to start than by taking some time to listen to how God sees trials as opposed to how we do. The struggles in life for both believers and unbelievers are real, and Jesus said they would come, and continue to come. How Christians handle the hard times is a Hard Truth that we must understand if we are to rely on God to produce His shaping work in our lives, and use us to His ends.

Pastor Mark Waite of Covenant of Grace Bible Church in Edgewood, NM recently preached on this topic. A great encouragement of anyone going through tough times.
